Secret Pro by Cutera is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses a combination of CO₂ fractional laser resurfacing and bipolar fractional RF (radio frequency) microneedling. This treatment can be used to improve the appearance of scarring, acne marks, wrinkles, and stretch marks while enhancing skin tone and texture, and promoting neocollagenesis through skin resurfacing.
When the CO₂ laser energy is layered with RF microneedling, an incredible range of skin conditions can be treated in a single session by utilizing the modalities alone or in combination. What to Expect on the Day of Secret Pro
CO2 fractional laser resurfacing addresses the outer layers of the skin by using a high-powered laser scanner to provide consistent laser energy in brief waves. The thermal effect resurfaces the skin’s top layer and regenerates the skin’s collagen supply, encouraging supple and youthful-looking skin.
The bipolar fractional radiofrequency microneedling addresses the deeper levels of the skin by causing interior tissues to clot, which stimulates collagen production. This effect is accomplished using tiny needles that pierce the skin and deliver radiofrequency energy to multiple depths in the skin for a deeper level of renewal than the CO2 fractional laser resurfacing alone.
The numbing portion of your treatment can take 15 – 30 minutes, however, the actual procedure will range between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the area being treated.
Secret Pro Recovery
One of the perks of Secret Pro is that there isn’t any downtime required. Your skin will have some redness following your session, but the color will begin to fade after a few hours. If you required one of the more aggressive treatment options, there may be some scabbing during the first few days post-treatment.
You can return to your typical daily activities immediately after you have completed your treatment. You may experience flushing of the treated skin the next day, which is entirely normal.
