The most noticeable swelling happens within the first day or 2 after treatment. Your lips will feel tender and look slightly fuller than when they settle, which is completely normal.
By the 3rd or 4th day, most of that initial puffiness fades. Some people barely notice it by then. Others might see it subtly linger for another few days, especially if they’re watching closely in the mirror.
Lips are packed with blood vessels, and they move constantly—talking, eating, smiling—so they tend to swell more than, say, your cheeks or under-eyes. That doesn’t mean something’s wrong. It just means the tissue is responding.
